I had recently encountered apps not being installed because the has file was not there. And then i wondered. Why would software developers deploy programs without this hash thing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>After a few google searches it turns out it was microsoft thing and you can disable it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Enjoy<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Coffee Cup<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>To solve this problem, I had to disable Device Driver Signing. Here\u2019s how it\u2019s done in\u00a0Windows 10.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Option 1 \u2013 Command to Enable or Disable<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Click the \u201c<strong>Start<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/li><li>Type \u201c<strong>command<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li><li>Right-click on \u201c<strong>Command Prompt<\/strong>\u201d and select \u201c<strong>Run As Administrator<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li><li>Do one of the following:<ul><li>To&nbsp;<strong>disable<\/strong>&nbsp;device driver signing, type \u201c<strong>BCDEDIT \/set nointegritychecks ON<\/strong>\u201d then press \u201c<strong>Enter<\/strong>\u201c<\/li><li>To&nbsp;<strong>enable<\/strong>&nbsp;device driver signing, type \u201c<strong>BCDEDIT \/set nointegritychecks OFF<\/strong>\u201d then press \u201c<strong>Enter<\/strong>\u201c<\/li><\/ul><\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>You\u2019re done! The Device Driver setting is now modified.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Option 2 \u2013 Disable From Menus<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>I figured this was security that was built into Windows to prevent me from installing bad drivers. This is a feature called Device Driver Signing. After going through the steps to disable driver signing in Windows 8, I was able to get my community drivers installed. Here\u2019s how I did it.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol class=\"wp-block-list\"><li>Select the \u201c<strong>Start<\/strong>\u201d button.<\/li><li>Type \u201c<strong>startup<\/strong>\u201d.<\/li><li>Select \u201c<strong>Change advanced startup settings<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li><li>Select \u201c<strong>Restart now<\/strong>\u201d under the \u201c<strong>Advanced startup<\/strong>\u201d area.<\/li><li>Select \u201c<strong>Troubleshoot<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li><li>Select \u201c<strong>Advanced Options<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li><li>Select \u201c<strong>Startup Options<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li><li>Select \u201c<strong>Restart<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li><li>A menu will appear where you can press \u201c<strong>7<\/strong>\u201d on your keyboard to choose \u201c<strong>Disable driver signing enforcement<\/strong>\u201c.<\/li><\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Now Device Driver Signing should be disabled, allowing you to install any driver you like in Windows 10\u00a0until you reboot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.hackaapl.com\/trouble-installing-windows-10-drivers-the-hash-for-the-file-is-not-present-fix-toggle-driver-signing\/\">http:\/\/www.hackaapl.com\/trouble-installing-windows-10-drivers-the-hash-for-the-file-is-not-present-fix-toggle-driver-signing\/<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p> this problem, I had to disable Device Driver Signing.
